Today, I figured that I might as well continue on from yesterday, with Part II to the issue on time. But instead of procrastination, tonight's time topic is more on the question, "Dude I think the clock just got slower."
Yep, those are the days that you look at the clock one minute, and look up what feels like twenty minutes later, turns out to only be two minutes. This is a very common thing, especially being just another teen in high school, sitting through lectures are bad enough now, and already make it seem like the day will never end (can't wait till post secondary). But why, and is there a cure for this?
How about first, what are some of the causes, or is it just one cause. In my last post, I pretty well called people lazy, and really I blame people for being lazy again in this situation, along with boredom, at least for the most part. Think about it the times when there is nothing to do or you really just don't want to be somewhere, is generally the time when you start to think that time is moving slower.
Have you ever tried this, on the weekends, when there is a huge chores list, and its such a lazy day, that you figure, "I'll go "clean" my room and make it seem like chores are getting done, so that way I don't have to do all the stuff on the list." Well if you haven't then I will tell you, don't. Cause eventually you get bored, and start looking back and forth from the clock. Ya, time ain't moving as fast as you want it to, but why. Its because you are focused on the time, that your mind is more focused on that then anything else. But if you were to go out and do your chores, loosing track of time is easy, only cause your mind isn't completely focused on the time, but the actions required to doing the chores.
This doesn't have to apply to cleaning, but anything, work, school, hanging with the friend you don't like, anything. So even though this is a shorter theory today, get from it what you can, and trust me, this topic ain't finished here. But for the theory, "Time only moves slow because you think to hard on the wrong thing, distract your self, whether that's the task at hand or something completely random, just don't think about it."

Hey, remember, its just a thought.

ReplyDeleteI totally get where you are coming from and not to think about it. take trips for example. However i do disagree on the room cleaning thing cus i know when i "clean" my room i usually get distracted with music, computer, tv, just farting around, etc that i go wow its that time already. Well anyways. It is a great thoery especially SCHOOL... lame!
