New Time Theory

Yes yes, after some bit of time, I Teen Theory am back. I am sorry for the leave with out warning, and I know there were a... few people a little concerned if I was to return or not, but never the less I am here, with more theory's then ever. There were a few questions that were asked in my time of leave. The most common was, Where did you go, and Are you going to post anything again, along with other stuff. To answer those questions, life hit me hard and fast, both with allot of good, and a bit of bad, as life is expected to be. After my trip to the NYC, I came back and started to work at my schooling and found my self a girl friend, which took up most of my time, as well as getting ready to move and what not.

But on the thought to another new school year, that I found this tittle and thought very fitting, with all the essays and work to be done. School, a large topic that will be broken down in to chunks through out the year. But for now, lets look at the big picture.

School, a place of learning, in many ways. This to most is the first step into the rest of our lives, as through our school careers, we will prepare our selves for the future. Whether that future is our jobs, our friends, our attitudes and behaviours, possibly our lovers, or even life skills that will come in handy down the road. But lets face it, from what I just said, school is all learning, now take it from me, this is my 5th year of high school, and I don't go to a majorly high end school, but it is nice. Its not that I am to dumb to go off to University, but I just didn't think I was ready. But anyways, I think the biggest part about schooling so far is life skill and the friends that I have made. I may have learnt a lot of knowledge from my teachers, and sure its going to help me get the career I want when I finish school, but lets face it, if it weren't for my friends, I wouldn't have made it this far. One friend of mine in particular, a newer friend to me, but she means a lot to me, well she has gone for a bit, and to say that she is one of my best friends would be talking pretty low about her, lol. No I am not being mean about her, she means the world to me, and she is my proof that my friends have helped me along the way, and allowed to survive not only school, but the tough times in life. Ya we met through school, and yes she is my girl friend, I bet any money she is blushing as she reads this. But she also the proof that friends really are some of the biggest parts of school. See it is not that she is just my girl friend but she had a chance to go to a bigger school up north, that she says she has a better chance at getting ahead in the future with. I see for maybe about five mins ahead that she is right, she can get some courses that are better and different from here, possibly better teacher too. As well as a few connections to certain places for work and what not. But like I said, school is more then just the classes you take. If it were not for her cousins and their friends, she would be pretty alone, as she has left all her friends behind for a bit. Now it is not like I don't talk to her, though I wish I could just give her one hug a day in person, and I know that would make my life a little bit better to bare. It is not just me, all her friends miss her, as well as her family, which is another big thing about growing up. Now you might be thinking, Ya she is your girl friend, of course that is what you think, but no its not just her, most of friends have moved on to post secondary, and trust me, I miss them too. But unlike my girl friend, I can still see most of them every other week end or so as most didn't go 7 hours away.

And sure maybe the courses do teach us a thing or two. But take a look at a few of the courses I have taken in the past. Com Tech, not only have I learnt how to work in a studio bussiness, I learnt more as a person and about life then anything else, like how to work with others, exploring elments I would shy from, working as a team and or group, and getting things done while making great friends and catching up with old. Same thing with being a year book editor last year, taking control, voicing my oppion, and a lot from what I learn in Com Tech.

So see it doesn't have to be all books and studys, just because you think if I study hard, and work to become a robot, I may live happy some day. Whats wrong with having fun today, with your friends and family, and you never know, just because you don't get to go to the most expensive schools, doesn't mean you can't have an amazing life. Just think of all the friends you already have, and all the fun you had with. Would anyone really want to leave it all behind, sure there is msn and facebook, but who is kidding, its better to have those people over for the big game on a Saturday night or just chilling at ones house, then it is talking on the phone or computer. Don't get me wrong, if that is the only way then sure, it will do, but I am just saying, its nicer to have some in person contact then none. And just because you didn't get what you imagined to be perfect at one time, doesn't mean that you are a failure or that your life will be horrible. But remember, if you do have a chance, look at what you are leaving behind, cause you never know, you may have that easy ride in the end, but no one to share with.

This was just a thought, and I would like to thank 3 people, Goerge, Racheal, and Mitchell for their e-mails to help me with todays topic. As well as the teachers and friends of mine too, for being there to help and support me. Remember if you have any questions or concerns, e-mail me at teentheory@hotmail.com or leave me a comment bellow. Remember I will not single out a person due to name or issue that is over the top or with out permision, first names may be used in context where the person is not in any way going to be targeted for their comments or idea or questions.

Thank you to all, and may all of you have a great school year and the best of luck.
Remember, its just thought...

  1. Hey There Teen Theory!!

    I disagree with you.

I think that you can have both an "easy ride" and maintain your friendships even if you have to leave them all behind. Lets face it, life is not, nor ever will be easy but we all must someday grow up and move on with improving our lives. By maintaining contact with friends we will always be guaranteed to have back up and support for when we fall off of our "easy ride" and need someone to help us back on. Even though I chose to change high schools for a better education, thus allowing my future to be brighter and grander that I ever dreamed possible, does not mean that its going to be easy. Ive only been up north for four days now and there has been many times where all I wanted was to just give up, but by having not only your support but other friends and family members I am able to pull through the fear, stress, and loneliness in order to get through another day knowing that everyone has my back if I am ever to fall. Please don't be upset about my leaving. Its only goodbye for now not goodbye forever. I shall see you in a little over a month.
